We would like to inform you that the Mont Blanc tunnel will be closed for 15 weeks from September 2nd, 5 p.m. The reason for this, is that construction work is taking place and therefore this tunnel between France and Italy cannot be used.
The tunnel will be reopened on Monday, December 16th at 5 p.m.
ALTERNATIVE
Traffic will have to use alternative routes, for example via the A43, which also runs from France to northern Italy and passes through the Fréjus tunnel, as well as the section via the Great Saint Bernard tunnel to the northeast.
PAYING TOLLS
Tolls must also be paid on the alternative routes.
FREJUS CARD
If you choose the A43, you will also have to pay for the Fréjus tunnel in addition to the French toll which can be done with the Fréjus Card.
If you want to be certain that you have the right products in your vehicle for these alternative roads, please don’t hesitate contact us.
